King Crab Legs

King Crab is native to the Bering Sea but was introduced during the 1960’s to the depths of the North Atlantic Ocean. The stock is increasing every year, ranging eastward and westward throughout the southern reaches of the Barents Sea.

A King Crab's size is almost as impressive as its taste, with the best tasting meat coming from the largest section of the leg, better known as the merus. Snow-white and delicate, the leg meat is loaded with flavour, extremely moist and sweet tasting. The flavour of these fully-cooked legs is best just after thawing, but can be prepared hot or cold using a variety of cooking styles.
